I've made animated videos before. PowToon is definitely the simplest tool to use. The learning curve is so little that it took me minutes to fully understand it but still I was able to make the video which was as good as on any other Desktop based software. Having used it extensively, now I prefer PowToon videos over my usual marketing presentations.
Animated videos are a perfect match for social media. The numbers back it up; a reported 500 million people watch Facebook videos every day, in addition to a phenomenal rise in video usage on other social media channels including Instagram and Twitter. This doesn’t even take into account YouTube, which, on mobile alone, reaches more 18-49 year olds than any broadcast or cable TV network. All told, a third of the time people spend online is devoted to watching videos.
Most OVA titles run for four to eight episodes, and some only have one. They tend to have a complex and continuous plot, best enjoyed if all episodes are viewed in sequence. This contrasts with television series, which generally have many short "mini-stories" that happen to be related somehow, rather than a unified plot. Many OVA titles can be thought of as "long films" that just happen to be released in parts. Release schedules vary: some series may progress as slowly as 1–2 episodes per year. Some OVA titles with a lengthy release-schedule ended up unfinished due to lack of fan support and sales.
